All employees are encouraged to adopt an attitude of continuous improvement. Tilson Scaffolding Ltd is committed to providing training necessary for employees to do their job efficiently and improve their skills. We believe investment in our staff to improve their skill base is an investment in the future.

We fully support and uphold the Construction Industry training standards for operatives and ensure that our workforce has full access to appropriate training for the work they do. The CITB provide specialist training schemes for scaffolders which we take advantage of for our staff. There are various means of acquiring the qualifications – the routes we follow are as an apprentice, or trainee Scaffolder.

All employees are required to hold as a minimum, a valid Health & Safety pass certificate. Some employees hold more than one type of certificate to enable them to operate machinery.

Additionally, our employees receive training for the following:
Harness/Lanyard use SG4:05
Toolbox Talks (weekly)
Abrasive Wheels
Forklift/ Teleporter
Slinger/Banksman
Scaffold Inspection

All scaffolders are issued with Safety harnesses and have received full training in the SG4:05 Guidelines
Scissorlift and Cherrypickers (MEWP's)
Confined Spaces
